My Official That Free Thing Review

My That Free Thing review is now slightly biased, because after digging into the management, compensation plan and product,  I came out of MLM retirement to make this my primary program, so remember this as you read through this review.

First off, the mastermind of That Free Thing is Seth Andrew Fraser, who rose to fame when he wrote the book “The Legal Thief” and showed how he had been (basically) living for free for the past 15 years by using the special offers and deals that many companies offer.  In around 2007, Seth started a company called Freebie Force, and while it was interesting, I never joined, because the economy was red hot, things were going great, and no one at the time really thought you could get stuff for free without a catch of some sort.

Fast forward to 2011, and everything has changed.  Global crisis is all around us – US unemployment is double digits, and no one seems to have a solution.  People are losing their homes, their jobs, and it’s getting desperate in many areas of the country.

So when Seth revamped his freebie service and launched That Free Thing in March 2011, it got my attention.  In fact, if a company was structured correctly, a company offering free goods and services could quite possibly become the fastest growing company in the world (update: this is now fact, Groupon is now the world’s fastest growing company, and they offer daily discounts, not even free stuff).

One thing that can kill a great idea is a complicated pay plan, and it was a fantastic relief to discover That Free Thing had a very simple yet unlimited pay plan.

Here’s how it works…the matrix is a 3×8, with a total of 9,840 people you can earn a residual commission on:

Now, any professional network marketer will NOT be impressed by this potential income, because no matrix ever gets filled with members, and even if it did, the maximum income is only $7,280.40 per month.

But this is where Seth and Master Distributor Russ Medlin did their magic.  They introduced 3 levels of matching bonus.

Matching Bonuses For That Free Thing

What this means is for every person you introduce to the business, you can earn 40% of their matrix earnings.

The second level match bonus is 30%, meaning the personal referrals of your personal referrals earn you 30% of their matrix earnings.

The 3rd level of matching bonus is also 30%, so third generation referrals earn you 30% of all 3rd level referrals.

You can do the math on this, but let’s just say if you know how to refer people into a good program, you’ll easily get 100 personals over the course of a year in a program like this.  If you have a system to replicate your success (like what you learn here at Online MLM Training) then those 100 will probably refer 500 over the next year, and those 500 would refer another 2,000 members (your results will vary, and this example is not typical, and typical results are not yet known, because That Free Thing is just launching).

In this example if your first line is earning a matrix income of $100 each, you would earn

$100 x 100 people x 40% = $4,000

On your second line, let’s say they are making an average of $80 in matrix earnings:

$80 x 500 x 30% = $12,000

And on the third line, let’s imagine the average matrix earnings is $50:

$50 x 2000 x 30% = $30,000

That makes your “matching bonus” income to add up to another $46,000 each month, and because the product is FREE stuff, it is a pretty easy offer to explain, especially when it costs just $9.95 to maintain your membership each month.

To qualify for all these matching bonuses, you need to personally refer 15 members, which you could probably accomplish in your first 60 days when you join our team, because we show you how to put your offer in front of highly qualified individuals using a wide variety of free marketing methods.

That Free Thing Review: Solid Management Experience

The other critical factor in any network marketing business is the management team.  It is critical that you have solid people behind the company, because without that, the entire operation becomes unstable.

That’s why, when writing up this That Free Thing Review, I was pleasantly surprised to discover it was Seth Fraser who was behind it, because if there is one guy who is passionate about free stuff, it’s Seth.  He’s basically the poster boy for living life on the lamb, getting the best deals in life, and really having an eye for finding free stuff when everyone else is paying top dollar.

For the free offers, when I did this That Free Thing review, it was free offers only for the USA.  But suddenly, in March 2011, they announced expansion to the UK, rolling out their free offers to UK members, all within the first 30 days of their launch.  When I think back to other network marketing companies, and how they were really fast if they could roll out and support a new country in 90 days, and here Seth Fraser and the gang are adding a second country in under 30 days.  It really is impressive.

That Free Thing Review: MLM Leadership

The other critical factor in any mlm business is the quality of the networkers the opportunity attracts, and in the case of That Free Thing, the response has been truly spectacular.  In fact, over 740 networkers have joined That Free Thing in the first 30 days, and all of them have managed to sponsor 5 new members and qualify for the first level of matching bonus.

I have never before seen 700 people join a network marketing company and qualify for the first-tier bonus in less than 30 days.

It just goes to show the quality of the people and the opportunity, that so many talented marketers would see this opportunity, join it, and build it.
